Keota Transmission and Repair Is Joining Farmers Cooperative Association

Farmers Cooperative Association is glad to share that Keota Transmission and Repair will be joining our organization. The transition becomes official on October 1, 2026. 

If you've had a transmission worked on around here, you probably already know the shop. Erik Strand and his crew have spent 17 years building a business this community trusts, and they earned that reputation one customer at a time. It's a big part of why we came to the table, and protecting what they've built has been the priority on both sides of the conversation.

What's staying the same?

Nearly all of it.

• The name. Keota Transmission and Repair is still Keota Transmission and Repair.
• The people. Every member of the crew is staying on.
• The manager. Erik Strand continues to run the shop as location manager.
• The work. Same shop, same hands, same phone number.

If you're a customer, the short answer to "what does this mean for me" is: not much. Call the same number, pull into the same lot, hand your keys to the same people.

Why this made sense for both of us?

Keota Transmission and Repair has built a reputation for driveline work that people around here trust, and that isn't changing. Same shop, same crew, same work. What changes is that they'll have a larger organization behind them as they keep growing. And not just any organization, a farmer-owned cooperative, which means the people backing this shop are the same people who live and work here! 

They'll also be working alongside Broadway Service Center, our tire and maintenance shop, so customers of either one can get more taken care of close to home.

This isn't a case of one business absorbing another. It's two operations that already work well deciding they'd work better together.

What happens next?

We'll be working through the details over the coming weeks. Official business transitions on October 1. Until then, and after, Keota Transmission and Repair is open and taking work exactly as it always has.
