JANUARY CHOICE | DECEMBER WRAP-UP

We hope you had a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Now let’s look back to December before we start January.

General Manager Update – Djamel Khali

Fertilizer prices are very uncertain at this time with China’s export ban and with that erased the lifting of the Belarus tariffs the week before. In other news Djamel is very excited to share that FCA & Vision Ag is going to be moving towards a new accounting software system. AgVance is the software our Board of Directors and Accounting team selected. More communication will be coming as we move forward with this project.

Broadway Service Center Update – Dave Hyman

The crew at Broadway wants to remind everyone that there is a lot more too tires than them just being black and round. Especially in wintertime. When the outside air temperature drops, air contracts and as the molecules get closer together, the reduction in volume causes tires to lose their pressure. And before long your tires are underinflated. If you need any assistance, please don’t hesitate to stop in and we will check it out for you!

Feed Division Update – Andy Weber

December has been quite a month since the temperatures have been up and down. With the weather changes, it seems like more respiratory sickness in humans and animals have been sticking around. We have things on hand to help with those issues. All feed locations are working on prepay mineral bookings right now thru February. Stop in and check it out!

Stockport Update – Kyle Dop

The beginning of the year is the perfect time to finalize your crop plans for this coming growing season. As a reminder, we do offer strong financing options through our CFA program or among others like John Deere Financial. We want to help you maximize your ROI this season so the earlier you prepay the better discounts you get! Thank you!

Seed Department Update – Chad Sieren

Happy New Year! As we are planning on our 2026 crop inputs, here is a quick reminder that there are financing options available through Vision Ag. John Deere Financial, Rabo, and CFA are the main 3 with competitive interest rates. We had a great clear fall right up to Thanksgiving! If anyone wants assistance with any technology, it’s nice to do this in January or February, so it is all ready for April. Any other questions or concerns, please call 319-461-0068. Have a great 2026!

Grain Department Update – Sarah Hora

Last month, CH26 futures largely traded within a consolidated range of 4.4-4.5. Supported by a seasonal Santa Claus rally, March futures reached 4.51 on Christmas Eve. As uncertainty continues to build in the soybean markets, attention is turning to South America as their harvest approaches. Brazil’s soybean production may increase to 180.4 million tons for the 25/26 marketing year. Brazil has continued to benefit from ongoing trade tensions between the US and China, with China sourcing 74% of its total soybean imports from Brazil between January and October. As global soybean supply continues to evolve, we will likely see more market volatility in the months to come. If you are selling grain or would like to place any offers, please feel free to contact Sarah at the grain office.

Propane Department Update – Nathan Nelson

Winter is officially here according to the calendar, and our trucks have been on the move! Over the past two weeks, the east leg of the Enterprise Pipeline has required repairs. This has slowed truck loading at the Iowa City and Cantril terminals. We’ve adjusted to keep things moving, and there is currently a good supply of propane available. Just as repairs can slow things down in cars, farming, or any other business, we are working through these challenges and continuing to serve our customers. Thanks for your continued business and we hope to continue serving you in the new year!

Thank you for your continued business!
